Allison Norton-Romportl, DC, Cert. MDT, RYT 200HR
Dr. Norton- Romportl attended Loyola University of Chicago where she studied finance, economics and Italian before obtaining her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences in suburban Chicago. Dr. Allison is not a “traditional” chiropractor. She is the one and only chiropractor in Colorado to be fully certified in The Mckenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT)- an INCREDIBILY effective and safe way to assess pain and discomfort with your back, neck, shoulders, knees, hips, feet/hands and even headaches. Dr. Allison also uses a background in yoga and developmental kinesiology to help strength, lengthen and enable proper motor firing of tight, weak tissues which can restrict full, free movement in your body.
Dr. Allison has undertaken extensive training in clinical and exercise training by way of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization out of the Prague School of Rehabilitation. She was on the A.R.T® (Active Release Technique) Ironman® treatment team for upper and lower extremities in 2017. In 2011 she received her 200 hour Yoga Alliance Yoga Instructor certification through Core Power Yoga. She also holds certifications in RockTape® and has completed courses with Dr. Craig Libenson. Dr. Allison studied under the doctors at the Spine and Sport Center of Chicago, in addition to completing a clinical internship in partnership with The Salvation Army, providing free primary care evaluations and musculoskeletal care to the homeless and those battling substance abuse in downtown Chicago.
Dr. Allison enjoys traveling ( 32 countries so far with next big trip to Afghanistan June 2019), teaching 5 year olds in kids ministry at Flatirons Community Church, practicing yoga at Core Power Yoga North Boulder, and recently she began training kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Easton Training Center in Boulder.
